Every advertisement in this paper carries a Box number instead of a telephone number. You write to the Box; we pass your note to the advertiser the same day. Neither of you sees the other’s number until you choose to share it, and nothing is ever charged for a reply.
Readers seeking work get a Box of their own when they hand in two lines for Situations Wanted, and employers write to it the same way.
No advertiser printed here may ask you for money: not a fee, a deposit, a uniform, training or a visa. If one does, report the Box with the coupon on this page and it is taken out of the paper.
